Is it safe?
Yes, infrared saunas are safe for most people, as they utilize the same basic form of heat comes from the sun. What’s more, this form of heat travels in the form of light and does little to heat the surrounding area – only when in contact with your skin.
While there are some contraindications for those with certain medical conditions (see the next question below) – the general lack of harm exhibited during a multitude of studies performed using infrared saunas over their years is a testament to their safety.
Note that infrared waves contain no UV radiation and virtually no electromagnetic frequency radiation--so there’s no damage to your skin or body during the process.
